Welcome to My Website

A little about me:
Well, I love this job. I always have, and would do it for free. In fact, many times I have done it for free, just so I could have free reign on the design. But alas, gratis doesn’t pay the bills, so in my past life I have much experience in the field of commercial art. I started in multi-media, then did photo-assisting for a stretch. Taking pictures was great, but I felt the tug and pull back to doing the art. I took a job as a rookie web designer – not very exciting, but it opened doors for me. Then, on I went into the advertising biz, the demands and standards of which developed me into an eagle-eye, razor sharp designer.

Ahhh, the world of agency work...there’s a sexy and dangerous mistress for you: she keeps you out too late, makes you leave your wife at home with a cold dinner, and always leaves you empty-handed, and yet, you keep going back for more. It’s like crack. You just can’t get enough, and so you keep on churning through the work, just so you can help sell another seasonal milkshake at a “fresh and local burger joint”. I can’t lie. I actually liked it. There was something nagging at me, though, and I realized I was not doing as much creative design. I felt a calling to go out and help the little people, the ones who couldn’t afford the agency but wanted and deserved agency quality. I have met some amazing people trying to make a difference in their community with a great service, idea or product, and they deserve to have the best possible representation of that.

So, that’s where we are now. I am here at The Farm, helping the little guy and having fun doing it. All the while, remembering the sweet embrace of Miss Agency and thinking... It wouldn’t be such a bad thing to visit her once in a while. She made me good at what I do.
